a5c7b9f00b Retired and living under a new secret identity, the hardened elite hit-man, Arthur Bishop, has found shelter in bustling Rio de Janeiro. But, now, time is of the essence,Crain's outrageous ultimatum is clearly no joke. Obviously, this assassin's killing days are definitely not over, but can Bishop do what he does best without losing a new-found love? Arthur Bishop, the master assassin who faked his death in hopes of putting that part of his ;life behind him, now lives a quiet life in Rio. But someone who knows who he is shows up and tells him, that if he wants to continue living this life, he will do three jobs for someone. Bishop tries to tell them he has the wrong man but they know who he is and if he won't do the job, they will take him but he gets away. He then goes to a resort in Thailand run by a friend, Mae, where he tries to find out who is looking for him. Later a woman named Gina shows up looking for medical assistance and Mae can't help but notice bruises all over her body. Mae deduces she's a battered woman and when Mae hears her being beaten, Mae asks Bishop to help her. He goes and kills the guy she's with. He kills the man and then sets fire to the boat he's on. But he sees that Gina has a photo of him. He deduces that they one who wants him, sent her. He confronts her and she admits that she works at a children's shelter in Cambodia and that someone told her if she didn't do what he said, the children would be endanger. While waiting for the man to come, they get close. And when the man's people comes, they grab them. Bishop is brought to the man who wants him to do the jobs and he tells Bishop that if he doesn't do it, Gina will be killed. So Bishop has no choice but to do it. This movie has everything you can expect from a Jason Statham flick. Crazy stunts, laughable action scenes, shootouts, fight scenes.

That's all you'll get by watching this movie.

Plot is lazy and it never picks up until the 40 min mark. I was really worried about it, but it really gets better once he gets arrested.

Really bad CGI ( I'm sure I saw blue spots from bullet holes and red spots on walls coming from bullets ), there's music taken straight from The Dark Knight ( when Alba gets kidnapped, I'm sure I heard that theme in TDK during scenes with Joker ). By the end of the movie, they also get theme from The Equalizer ( scene where Denzel walks away from the explosion ). It's laughable.

This movie is meant to be a sequel, but you don't need to watch the first one before watching this one. It's OK on its own.

Overall it's a nice way to kill 1 hour and half. Statham kills a lot in this movie. Tommy Lee Jones needed money the mortgage, I assume. He does nothing in this movie ( even though he's one of the main targets that Statham has to kill ). At least he doesn't die!

6/10 Nice action-packed movie, but it can't match the prequel. The storyline is interesting, but not very credible. Where its predessor was well-thought, this one feels like its made in a hurry. For the rest its like an average action movie. Even flashy, grumpy Jones can’t act like a defibrillator powerful enough to crank this generic movie into competition for Statham’s better solo outings.
